has undertaken over 30 Environmental Assessment and Preliminary Design
projects for transportation facilities. These include highway, rail, transit,
road and bridge assignments. The company has been proactively
involved throughout the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act process changes.
URS Cole Sherman has written two formal Environmental Assessment Proposals
(EAPs have developed into what is now ToR) and one formal Environmental
Assessment ToR. Two of these projects (Highway 404 and York Region's Long
Term Water Supply - West Durham Solution) have successfully proceeded
through full Environmental Assessment. As well, URS Cole Sherman has recently
completed the Simcoe Transportation Needs Assessment in Ontario. URS Cole Sherman
has established a reputation in Ontario as one of the premiere consulting
firms capable of leading a complex infrastructure planning project such
as this study. URS Grand
Rapids has engaged in transportation planning and engineering work statewide,
with such typical clients as the MDOT, County Road Commissions, cities
and local metropolitan planning organizations. URS has completed extensive
work in southeastern Michigan, including transportation plans, transit
planning and freeway design for MDOT, the City of Detroit and the Detroit
Department of Transportation (DDOT). IBI Group
is a multidisciplinary consulting and design firm providing professional
services in four broad areas: transportation (both rail and road), systems,

a large number of forecasting studies for tolled facilities, development
of traffic management systems for bridges and tunnels, freeways and urban

office. The Corradino Group has been doing transportation planning studies in southeastern Michigan for over 27 years. This began with the planning for the new access to the Ambassador Bridge and continues today with the Detroit Intermodal Freight Terminal study looking at traffic and truck movements in the area including I-94, I-96, and I-75. Corradino has significant familiarity with the issues on the U.S. side that must be addressed in this long-range bi-national planning study.
